La Traviata by Valentino and Sofia Coppola: the red carpet

The beautiful world of cinema and fashion in a crowded theatre in the centre of Rome.

The Teatro dell’Opera in Roma like Cannes, a fairy tale on stage for the première of La Traviata directed by Sophia Coppola with the amazing creations of Valentino -who is also the producer with Giancarlo Giammetti-.

La Traviata is the opera that fascinated me the most since childhood. It took me about one hour and a half to draw the four costumes of Violetta before sending them here.

Men in tuxedos, ladies in rich evening dresses for a night of celebrations. The most elegant? Undoubtedly Keira Knightley, in a red velvet dress, and Monica Bellucci, with a necklace that couldn’t stay unnoticed.

Among the celebrities that attended the première the American couple Kayne West and Kim Kardashian, arrived on the red carpet in a white dress, the actor Luke Evans, the Minister Maria Elena Boschi and the candidate for Rome Mayor Roberto Giachetti.

On stage the talented Francesca Dotto and Antonio Poli, the performers of the drama, acting in the scenes of Nathan Crowley, better known for its set design of Batman Begins.

An enchanted fairy tale that would have left even Giuseppe Verdi speechless.
