I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring…
And the promise has been kept. David Bowie has died today aged 69 after suffering from cancer. His career and life have been anything but boring.
Born in London in 1947, Bowie leapt to fame in 1969 with the release of his psychedelic album Space Oddity. A few years later, in 1972, his glam-rock album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars introduced to the world the iconic figure of Ziggy Stardust, his androgynous alter ego.
From there, he started crossing genres and reinventing himself and his music with each passing album.
The world has lost a legend and a pioneer. The gallery shows some of the looks that made him the rock icon of the last decades.
