Fiat Lux, Our Common Home: a public art project made of inspirational images that sought to raise awareness on climate change and hope to inspire more people to care for the planet and be conscious about saving it.
Yesterday evening the St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican was transformed into a work of art: the white marble served as a canvas for the photos of some of the best photographers such as Steve McCurry, Yann Arthus Bertrand and Sebastião Salgado.
The light show‘s timing could not be more perfect since it coincides with the opening of the year-long Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy called by Pope Francis.
“You have to do something audacious to shock people… to really grab their attention” the photographer Psihoyos said.
